The suffering of all beings is profound and it is difficult not to feel anger or a sense of unfairness. When we look beneath the anger, we can perhaps notice something else. For me it’s a deep sadness that there is so much pain and I feel such helplessness to do anything about it. So I start where I can – at home, in my community, in my city. And I send along any merits from my limited actions for the safety and welfare of all beings.
