where did that ox go?

Well, are you well?

Are you taking care of yourself? Are you still here? Am I still here?

It’s been a long time since I’ve hung out, watching the uptick of the site stats. For those of you still reading and surfing 108ZB, thank you!

I’m feeling a lot of anxiety returning to blogging. Looking over past posts, it seems I stopped really digging into the dharma with the blogpost Breaking Bread on March 30, 2018. Off-screen, it was likely further back. Somewhere in the height and denouement of the mindfulness wars, I dropped the thread of what it means to practice. The practice of writing, of sitting, of attending to intention, action, and consequences. And now, here we are, eight months into a severely restricted life that has opened us up as much as closed us down. It’s hard to follow that Ox at a social distance.

At some point, I’d like to retrace my steps and find the trail of the Ox again. For now, “I” just want to say some aspect of “me” is back, relinquishing what is “mine” and hopefully picking up the trail of ox-herding.

Tell me, now… how is it for you?
